14th Annual Merit Badge Day at SUNY-ESF
Saturday, April 13, 2013
The Details
Registration for this event is now CLOSED
This year's Merit Badge Day will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2013.
We will be offering the opportunity to work on up to three merit badges, each in a 75 minute-long session.
Please read carefully as the schedule and details have changed substantially for this year's event.
Parking and courses will be provided on-site. Due to rising costs of materials and other resources needed for this event, we are charging eleven dollars and fifty cents($11.50) per scout. This fee includes up to three merit badge classes, parking in the SU Standart lot (closer parking options will be available for those with handicap parking permits), and lunch. Leaders may attend and observe at no cost. All units are required to provide at least one adult leader per unit; if this is a problem for your unit, please let us know at mbd@apophi.org.
Registration fees of $11.50 per Scout can be sent as a check or money order (Made out to "Alpha Phi Omega Phi Chapter") and mailed to: Alpha Phi Omega Phi Chapter, Attn: Merit Badge Day Coordinator, 126 Schine Student Center, Syracuse, NY 13244. All units must submit their registration fees in advance and must be postmarked by Saturday, March 30, 2013. Registration will close March 30, 2013 or earlier if the 200 scout limit is reached.
It is recommended that scouts come prepared with a copy of the book or at least a print-out of the requirements for the badges they intend to take. An excellent resource for that is meritbadge.org or http://usscouts.org/mb/worksheets/list.asp. We will not be providing merit badge books or requirement lists.
All attending scouts are required to bring signed Blue Cards in order to work on merit badges.
